BioJohn Tregarth, aka Sir John Smythe, aka . . . well, it would take too long to list them all, but suffice to say there are a lot of them, is a reformed jewel thief and master forger. He's here for the same reason he's reformed: far too many people have decided they'd like to inflict grevious bodily harm upon him and, well, he's not such a big fan.
Tregarth is from the Vicky Bliss series of mystery novels by Elizabeth Peters. For our purposes, he's after the events of Night Train to Memphis. His new found love of the ridiculousness of American Country music and his desire to be reformed in his way, dammit, and not have it dictated to him by anyone else has lead him to Milleaux.
